Der Tote vom Strand

This was a very enjoyable read from Hakan Nesser. Van Veeteren only has a cameo role in “The Weeping Girl”. Detective Inspector Ewa Moreno takes centre stage as she can't help but become involved in the investigation of the disappearence of a young girl. Despite being on holiday Ewa discreetly questions anyone who had contact with the girl before she disappeared.
Amidst secrecy and cover-ups the investigation is finally brought to a satisfactory conclusion.
