I had moderate hopes for this book, but I found the characters unlivable and the plot plodding.
Audiobook review: enjoyable overall, mostly character and setting driven with the plot being slightly predictable. A true cozy bit of light escapism.
Longworth drives home the beautiful and unique Aix en Provence in the first of the Verlaque and Bonnet mystery series. Provence alone is worth the read, but her characters begin to take shape and there is enough mystery to drive the narrative.
