A good storyline with a fair few twists in it that kept me reading on. Most people claim to be able to guess how books are going to end, but there were genuinely a couple of moments in this story where I had to re-read a line because I couldn't believe it. The book does waffle a little bit and there's no real character progression of any sort however. But a solid storyline and clever writing makes this a good read!
The first in the Roy Grace series of books and for me it won't be the last. Aside from the fact that everyone in this book was good looking and as soon as anyone was introduced we immediately got a list of their physical attributes, which I found irritating and interrupted the flow if several people turned up for the first time all together, I enjoyed the book a lot.
Very well written, pleasant cast of characters, rather thrilling - I personally could do with less of that, but I will take it because I like the rest so much.
