Some good ideas and information about bettering myself to in leadership. Being more courageous even though it’s uncomfortable - I feel like I know this stuff but need that encouragement to actually try it out. This is supposed to give us that encouragement but didn’t work for me at least.
I will definitely pick up her other books, she describes this as a combination of a few of them.
This helped me re-frame my mindset on vulnerability. The courage it takes to learn from uncomfortable situations, and what shame does. I thought this was well written, the audiobook is narrated by the author and she does a great job! I hope to re-visit this to review the ideas of being a daring leader.
Fantastically good. Lots of useful reference to other work, a simple foundation in her approach and so many great tools. Likely a function of when I'm reading this in my own journey, it definitely lived up to positive reviews I heard from others, and I would highly recommend it as well.
Useful stuff in here, I think especially if you're new to managing (like me). It could have been written and edited better, though. I think the biggest takeaway is to see Brené Brown's website for really actionable resources.
Had to read this for a Step Forward Leadership conference at work and I gotta say, I'm so glad they picked this over Lean In!
This book is like a greatest hits album. It combines findings from her previous works in one volume. It focuses on application rather than theory.
