This was so compulsively readable, I couldn't put it down. I was but a child in the late 70's but I remember being entranced by Fleetwood Mac and burning out my mother's 8-track of Rumors. Clearly, this isn't Fleetwood Mac, but .....I had The Chain running through my head the entire time I read this. It's four stars out of 5 because I thought it spent too much time on the song writing process and not enough time on the actual collapse. I felt that a certain character was kind of glorified because of who the surprise interviewer turned out to be.

I just need to complain here about how I almost sent the book back when it arrived. This title has been on my radar for months but I can't stand celebrity book clubs. Believe me when I say seeing that little “Reese's Book Club” sticker on there was almost a deal breaker. I mean, uhg! Sorry, rant over.
