I wholeheartedly agree with the final note in the book. This is one crazy world, the walk on its winding paths a thrill like no other, leading to unexpected places. The continuation of the story is definitely more intense, just a touch more darker in some moments but also very compelling and addictive in heart-stopping kind of way. The spice isn't very high as a level but the few moments, beautifully described on page, were a real treat. I enjoy reading immensely such complicated, detailed and vast world building especially when there are more characters on page and we get so see the plot lines expanding and developing from different POVs. I really like fmc like Sunday that not only adapt to the uprooting of their lives fast but take the awakening of their powers in stride and try to utilise them to the best of their abilities. Even though her barely developed mating group was unexpectedly split and suffered enormous pressure, every single one of the group showed impressive personal growth facing new challenges, taking decisions or just following their inner calling. And the challenges - some of them were really though, requiring sacrifices and pushing personal boundaries. I loved the way Grayson started to change under the influence of our little cat. His frozen attitude and aloofness were melting rapidly, revealing a glimpse of the real man underneath - man worth fighting for, a leader that could eventually be trusted by his subjects and a mate that is fiercely protective, loyal and caring. I won't analyse every one of the characters, instead leaving that to everyone's free interpretation. I, personally, love their quirks, the way their temperaments clash, but also how they are starting to listen to each other and talk, slowly but surely gravitating toward each other and forming the core of a formidable force.
