Anna carried this book so hard. She was my absolute favorite part of this book. While Cas is interesting, he just... he felt a bit bland to me. Why are girls so into him? It is never really explained, nor brought up later past the point when it is needed. Honestly, I even liked the side characters more than Cas. I just needed more emotion from him, something to help me remember him besides his ‘calling' to send ghosts to the other side.
And while the story was interesting, there were times I did contemplate dropping it since I wasn't sure into it.

Now, for most of the book I wouldn't call it horror, I wasn't scared, but there are a few scenes, one in particular, that got the chills going up my spine, which is why I'm giving it a horror tag. The ending was really good, so I'm glad I stuck through it. And (at the time of writing this review) I have read the sequel as well and will review it too.

If you like mild horror and ghost stories you should check this one out.
