I want to thank the author for reaching out to me via email and providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
I really enjoyed this book. It is full of do it yourself projects that kids can try along with their parents. I love how Cleo isn't afraid to be herself even though a lot of the characters are mean to her and make fun of her inventions. She doesn't let that get her down. She jus keeps persisting because she wants to make friends and she wants them to accept her for who she is.
One thing I wish would have been dealt with in the story is the typical mean girl. All throughout the book there is one girl who is always mean to Cleo but she never gets in trouble. I think that would have been a great lesson to include as well. It's not ok to be mean to others just because they are different then you and it would have been nice to have seen that there are consequences to your actions in a story like this.
