Circe

I resisted for the longest time, because the negative reviews scared me.

I was scared that Circe would be watered down, but even though she isn't the Kirke as I understand her, she is “good enough”. I don't think her weakness and powerlessness makes her any less strong.

Of course the Ancient Greek society and pantheon was horribly misogynist. Who doesn't know that?

Of course there were a lot of things that irritated me. (That's why only 4 stars :-D) But the rest of the book, the whole of the book, was a pleasant experience. It was an easy read - or listen, as I read it as an audiobook.



I think the ending was... sort of to be expected. Happy
