Circe

Did I like this book? Yes, I did. But it was not as emotionally scarring, or heart-wrenching as Song of Achilles. You feel for Circe throughout the entire book – she has been shoved to the side, punished and exiled her entire life. All she wanted, really, was a life. Your emotions will be tugged as you read, but to me, at least, it did not feel as if my heart was being tugged out of my chest. Poor Circe, I thought, over and over as I read.

But the ending. The ending – at last you get what you want.
