I read the “Flowers in the Attic” series many years ago when I was a teenager. Curiosity drew me to “Christopher's Diary: Secrets of Foxworth”. I didn't expect it to be on a par with the original as Virginia Andrews is no longer with us, and it lived up to my low expectations.
Partly a re-hash of the original in diary form, it is the tale of Kirstin, a distant relation of the Foxworths living in our time, who finds the diary and proceeds to read it. Exciting, not! But dire as it is I will probably read the next instalment as I hate to start a series and not finish it.
