He was my best friend's older brother. My first love, who left town without so much as a goodbye... Eight years later, I've said yes to marrying another man-the ever-so-perfect Julian Baker. I'm finally ready to let go of my past for a new future. But like all gut-wrenching love triangles, my past and future collide in a cruel twist of fate. Inside a busy restaurant, he's sitting at the table next to me wearing a jealous stare. And I'm forced to face the man who destroyed my heart in high school. Lex Edwards, now billionaire tycoon, won't back down easily. He's ruthless, cunning, and no longer the sweet and loving college graduate studying to become a doctor. Just like me, our tumultuous affair broke him. But now, he is hell-bent on winning me back. And Lex Edwards will stop at nothing to prove just how powerful our love is, even if it means we need to relive the past... A forbidden love story about fate, heartache, and second chances.

Is 1 star even worth it? Could i not pick 0.5 stars?
I picked this book up because i found a very aesthetically, pleasing and hot instagram post. I didn't know what it was about but i had everything i hate: love triangle, cheating, stubborn mc, misogynistic male love interest, bad writing and dialogues, too many plot holes. In fact, even the smut was bad.
The only reason i read it all is because i am trying to not dnf books.
This book was so bad, so so fucking terrible like the entire book gave me pick me energy from the author. The male mc was so disgusting at times like he was sitting with the woman he claims he “loves” but was being appreciative of her best friend's body? “She's a bitch but has a nice body” ??? Plus, he was a cheater. Once a cheater, always a cheater. He cheated on his wife of 6 months because he supposedly found the greatest love of his life in an 18 year old girl?
I dont want to go on. There is so much wrong with this book. I cant believe there even more sequels to this.
