Of the three books in the series, I currently like the first one the most. While I don't mind cursing, the frequent use of “fuck/ing” felt a bit excessive for my taste. I enjoy the overall storyline, but I'm not a fan of the long, sometimes unnecessary, dialogues. By the second book, I found myself skimming through these parts, and even more so in book three. The conversations often felt repetitive and added little to the story. One thing I absolutely love is that the male characters don't coddle the heroine, and she doesn't let them—staying true to her strong, independent personality. I really hope this doesn't change because she's a powerhouse, and that's one of her most appealing traits. As a fan of reverse harem (RH) books, it's a little disappointing that her harem feels overly large and, at times, unnecessary. If she needed so many men for the story, it might have been better to introduce them gradually, similar to how it was done with characters like Grey or H. Kill is a character I really like, and it's sad that he doesn't get much screen time now with so many others in the mix. I feel he could have been a standout. Characters like Loki, Rivel, Storm, and Reaper don't add much to the story, in my opinion. Although I do love dragons—Ryu could definitely stay. Zev, on the other hand, is almost forgettable and seems more like a filler character. I am excited, however, to see Magnus making an appearance, and I'm especially curious about Monty! I'll definitely be reading book four when it comes out and hope they dial back the cursing or at least vary it a bit.
