Ooh, and the plot thickens.
I'd heard from quite a few people that they didn't like that Danny and Colton were split up for much of the book. I have to admit, I was a little worried about it, but I think it worked super well. Partially because, unlike Timekeeper, Chainbreaker wasn't told almost exclusively from Danny's perspective. Yeah, he gets the most page time, but there's quite a bit from Colton and even some from Daphne. And, also, I like to see couples do growing when they're not together. Danny and Colton both have some growing up and/or settling in to do (not really sure which to call it) - so I think it's nice to see them as individuals and not just one half of a couple.
Finally, we get a ton more information on clock spirits. I'm not going to give out spoilers, but that's where my ‘and the plot thickens' comment comes in and I love it.
