I liked Scarlett well enough, at times not too much- but it's like that with lots of protagonists. I know she ruined the book for some people, but I rather connected with her. Though she was naive at times and cowardly at others, I connected more with her than with Tella.

Legend was indeed a legend in this story, I don't mean that as in he felt fake- I mean he lived up to the name. I have to say the last fourth of the book makes me want to grab number 2 and read it!
