Genuinely loved this read. Loved the Stockholm syndrome vibes, gave me lots of feels like from All the Ugly and Wonderful Things. The depravity that led to the ending just did it for me. I seriously can't wait to start another read from this author.

This book was such a rollercoaster ride and I loved every second of it!

I honestly did not know how I would feel about this book when I started it. This was my first captive/captor book so I wasn't sure what to expect but I absolutely loved it. Alex and Ophelia are such interesting characters and I enjoyed learning more about them. I didn't know how I would feel about Alex but after finishing this I really feel for him. Alex is a complicated character, he has both good and bad in him. He doesn't know how to handle his loving feelings toward Ophelia. He's never experienced those types of feelings before so seeing him deal with those emotions was so beautiful. I love Ophelia so much. She's been through hell and is still standing. She has dealt with so much in her life and seeing her finally come to terms with everything was so powerful. Ophelia and Alex are both broken but they each put the pieces back together for one another. Their relationship is beautiful. This book is extremely dark so please check trigger warnings before reading.

Well okay then.... I was intrigued when I knew it was banned so I had to know what the fuss was about.

Two chapters in I thought okay definitely not my cup of tea but I gotta keep going now. (I had read about some details I wanted to know what those scenarios were specifically).

The story got more and more jacked but by the time I got to the most stomach churning part I was already invested into Alex and O and their story. I had started to emphasize with Alex and needed to find out the ending so I stuck it out till the end.

Overall the book is very well written and author is a good writer but the book is messed up sick and twisted
