Candor is about Oscar Banks who lives in Candor where as the cover states ‘you are what you hear' however Oscar is different. He knows about the messages which were his dad's creation and now he fights them.
Then comes along Nia who moves in and I guess you could say changes Oscar's life forever.
Despite taking a few weeks to read this, i'm glad I did this. I felt a mixture of emotions for all the different characters. Sometimes I was mad with Oscar while at other times you can feel sorry for him.
With the ending, it wasn't what I expected at all. I'm happy and depressed with the ending at the same time. I like the fact that its left an chance of there being a second book however its a sad ending which was shocking.
Therefore I rate Candor 5/5. Due to it not just simply about the town being perfect but also what lead to it while keeping the characters interesting.
