Cage of Souls

DNF'ed. Liked the idea but could have been about 100 pages shorter. Got bored of reading it.

A brilliant and thought provoking book about humanities struggle with itself and the world around us! Set in a civilisation both more and less advanced than ours we see the struggle of Stefan Advani. There is only one city left on a dying earth and a floating prison. Some really great characters here too! Will keep me thinking for a while I think.

Beautifully written with a vast imaginative world but I really struggled to care what happened to the characters and any time something interesting was mentioned about how things may have ended up like this it was never followed up. By the end I really wondered what the point was tbh.

3.5 enjoyed the world and characters but it just felt too long.
