You must get past some really awful, trendy naming conventions for descriptions of the characters' appearances and concentrate more on the narrative to enjoy this book. Specifically I really wanted to throw this book across the room whenever the main character mentioned the "bitch curtain" (referring to bangs that hang in front of their eyes/eye).
