DNF. I got a few chapters in before giving up. The characters are all tropes and the ideas that they hold seem really stereotypical, even though the situation (a bunch of manly men reading romance to better understand women) isn't typical. It was a cute idea but the execution is lacking. I also was a bit bothered by the idea the guys had that all women read romance and that they all view these romance novels as an ideal love. Maybe it would change farther into the book but I just couldn't get past that.
I already love this series. I didn't read the premise before buying the whole series and reading this one. I get that it's titled bromance, but for some reason it didn't click that it would be a bunch of athletic dudes reading romance books in order to better their relationships. It's adorable. I loved Gavin and his love for Thea and his daughters. I loved Mack and Del and even weirdo Vlad. Thea and Liv were questionable for most of the book, but they came around at the end. This book was very near perfect. If I could do half stars, it would have been a 4.5.

Simplemente irritante. Lo mejor fue cuando estaban Amelia y Ava. Gavin evoluciona pero Thea no, el problema se resuelve demasiado rápido y no es lo mejor.
No es el peor libro del mundo pero ni de cerca el mejor.

This book is downright comical, in sense that it is unrealistically cringey (?) but i had fun so my rating is high. It wasn't all that bad but if you want to read a fictional man who does bare minimum then this is the book for you sigh
Very cute romance! The author has come up with a really good way of framing the break-up and love story of Thea and Gavin.
A cute and light hearted second chance romance.
Gavin and Thea are married with young twin girls, and after it comes out that Thea has been faking it during sex for years... the couple blows up.
It takes time, trust, and a book club, to bring them back together.
I think it's hilarious that these tough sports dudes are in a book club reading historical romances to help each others relationships.
Gavin's stutter was so endearing. I loved him more for it, and how Thea never lost patience or judged him.
This was fun, cute and had a lot of angst! The characters felt real and I loved to see their evolution through the book.
I think it is almost a perfect book for my taste, 2nd chance romance and a really slow burn. If these are your tropes, go for it.
I loved this book. This story has so much layers of plot that gor the double of my attention. Really good, I really recommended.
This feels like it was created by a machine designed to hit every romance trope I enjoy, cover relationship aspects that I hadn't really read about before, and perfectly blend the realism and surrealism that makes the genre so much fun to read.
I really tried to not be annoyed by the FMC, but I never got the impression that she wanted it to work out. It was infuriating.
This is the most problematic romanc book I've read in a very long time. The author tried to be funny, but I was only disgusted. I even made myself check if it was really written by a woman and not a man.
Then he winked, and boom, her nipples hardened. What the...? Thea looked down at her round, pink areolas, now tight and bebbled. Jesus. Her tits were like Pavlov's dog around him.
Spoiler-Free Review:
This book was so incredibly cute! Such a light read which was much needed since my last two were kind of heavy! Another book that I devoured at work in one sitting. This book follows the journey of married couple, Gavin and Thea. It discusses the struggles of married life and life after having kids. This book was just adorable. A group of men who use romance novels to guide their relationships... it was just so light and fun! This is an adult romance novel 18+. There are some spicy scenes but they're very tastefully done. I recommend this book to anyone looking for a light read that's also romantic and steamy! Great palate cleanser after Crescent City and It Ends With Us!
I tried to go into this with an open mind, but this book just wasn't well written. This had a very fanfiction-like writing style (hearts are just constantly thudding, lips slant over each other somehow) and the minor characters felt very stereotypical (especially the Russian, who was practically offensive to read). These characters talk like they've never met a human and the faux British swearing was so cringe-inducing to read. The main characters were all super manipulative and awful, the pseudo-feminist beats were so bad (the pumpkin spice latte defensiveness was literally embarrassing, I feel like the author is one of those people who wrote big long essays on Tumblr in 2016 about how “basic” is a misogynist slur), and every female character is portrayed in this catty depressing way.
The only thing I liked about this was the portrayal of the main hero's stutter, which felt well done and empathetic.
Yeah, these two were lowkey pretty toxic but the book was juicy, sexy, and entertaining and at the end of the day that's why I read this genre so I'm just going to look the other way oops
Loved it from start to finish. I'm not a huge contemporary fan but THIS BOOK IS SO GOOD! I was smiling like a fool through out most of it! Fun, steamy, slowburny. All the good good. Loved it!

Summary (spoiler free):
Gavin Scott, second baseman for the Nashville Legends, has had his world turned upside down. His wife, Thea, has been keeping a big secret from him. A pretty BIG secret: she's been faking it in bed. For three years. And, well, his reaction was less than stellar, putting a strain on their already tense and taunt relationship. When Thea asks for a divorce, Gavin is willing to do anything to change her mind and to save their marriage. Even if that something is joining a book club run by fellow Legends' players. A romance book club. When everything already seems to be going wrong, what could Gavin possibly have to lose?
My Thoughts:
The Bromance Book Club by Lyssa Kay Adams is definitely a romp of a book. There were several moments in the book where I actually laughed out loud. Most of them involved Braden Mack. It's not often that you see romance books about a couple fighting to stay together. Divorce is typically a topic that most avoid, so it was refreshing to read something that showed the growing pains of a relationship, not just the lovey-dovey honeymoon stage. It was definitely a slow burn romance, but the book was actually pretty well paced. There were definitely some frustrating troupes present, namely miscommunication. Many of the issues that Thea and Gavin had were due to lack of communication, which at times made me want to shake both of them. But, that being said, I think that was done purposefully as each character grows as a communicator throughout the book. Doesn't make it any less frustrating at times to read, but definitely realistic and at least there was progression. Often times when miscommunication is used as a plot device, you don't see the characters become better communicators– not really anyhow. Instead, they somehow patch up the problem and move on. But this book really shows the work that goes into communicating with a partner and into a relationship, while being totally fun at the same time.
3 stars Overall it's an okay read. The “Courting the Duchess” chapters didn't add anything to the story, and I found them quite boring tbh. I'm not going to be continuing with the series.
