I'll admit I'm an absolute fool for vampire/werewolf pairings so that was what initially drew me to this, and arranged marriages occasionally tickle my fancy if they're done well. I think this was done well! The best way to describe this couple is that they were just...chill? There wasn't really any extra drama with them other than the obvious conflict with their species and all that but they never seemed to actually hate each other, which is bad news if you came into this looking for an enemies to lovers, but good news if you didn't come into this expecting that, which was me. They only really had one big conflict which was resolved pretty quickly at the end of the book, so I'm fine with it.
The characters were lovable, the plot was simple but fun, and I did like the main couple. There were a couple things that came off as goofy to me - why do Weres and Vampyres have different colored blood? are you telling me these people are blushing GREEN and Misery still finds it endearing? - but it didn't take away any of the enjoyment for me. This was a very solid 4 star read!
