Boy Erased: A Memoir

Thankfully this man is alive to tell his story. There are so many who took their own lives, and we need to hear about what they may have experienced before they made the decision to leave this world.
Good book for teaching.
I have several gay people in my life, and I know their experiences were much different. I blame a majority of religious groups for this situation. That said, please know that I have a belief in God, but I don't feel I need to belong to a social group of radical people who want to keep throwing out verses from a book that was written centuries ago. Everything around us has evolved (some slower than others), so I don't understand why many religious organizations believe that the “book” shouldn't be adjusted to modern day.
