3.5 stars. Sweet, funny romance with almost no angst between two beautiful, successful men. Because the plot is f*ck buddies fall in love, there are a lot of sex scenes, which got a little monotonous after a while although they did demonstrate the gradual development of those complicated feelings between the MCs. And I learned something about Singapore coffee (kopi).
I admire N.R. Walker's versatility to write queer romance across multiple genres, even if not all of them are my cup of tea.
Low angst with impeccable communication, ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!! I won't deny being slightly concerned things would turn awkward once they figured out who the other was but my worries were unfounded—N.R. Walker doesn't disappoint! Some might not like how effortlessly their relationship progresses, but their perfect chemistry and genuine affection for each other are what make this story such a treat. The conflict toward the end with Bryson's father did veer on the forced side, but knowing that he's coming from a place where he doesn't understand how to truly love someone, you can only feel sorry for the guy.
(Also huge thumbs up for the BTS shirt hehe)
