After a very intense beginning that introduced us to an equally intriguing and complex Omegaverse world, all the emotional angst and trauma, sprinkled with sweet memories of Nix and Gideon's past, book 2 picks up right from that pivotal moment in Nix's life when everything he has known, everything he's been through, and everything he's been told since his miraculous recovery has left us wanting more. Book 2 does not disappoint and delivers the next portion of the world in which Nyx found himself, surrounded by brand new challenges, hidden truths and surprises. And not just any Pack - but one he can call his own. Pack, family, relationships and bonds - despite how new and intimidating it all seems, Nix navigates his new reality with humble grace, a strong will to learn, and all the love he thought would never be on his agenda. I loved the way the story unfolds, showcasing that while Nix reality is a lot better now, eight people in a relationship is a new kind of turbulence, that requires trust, communication and compromises. The author has added elements of jarring realism, not shying away from the problems that arise with so many people living together. While there are a lot of undeniably sweet moments, higher spice level and so much healing on page, the truth is that there are a lot of hard decisions to be taken that shake the very foundation of this big family, temper clashes and unpleasant revelations. I was hooked from the start to the end and now impatiently waiting to see how Nix and his mates will overcome the new challenges, barreling towards them.
