The cute guy who visits my flower stall at the farmer’s market every week is a vampire. And he’s not so cute. He’s a stalker.
Vampires have a lot of food options. If you don’t like prescription synthetic blood, there are subscription services that will deliver exotic animal blood to your doorstep every week. Organic, free-range, wild-caught—the options are endless.
The government requires all infected individuals to be assigned to a conservator. Mostly, they hang around to help their pre-vamps learn the ropes and navigate their new diet. But if you’re a really lucky pre-vamp, your conservator will be a wicked-hot, recently demoted hunter who will hold your hand at doctor’s appointments and track down your stalker, bodyguard style.

Dnf, this book was fine except my morning sickness and aversion to meat was just too bad and this book had so much steak references and I couldn't do it today
