Read for the Swoon Sisters' Book Club: June (romantic suspense)
I really enjoyed the writing but I didn't really feel any suspense and the mystery really fell flat for me. I also thought that the relationship between Lacey and Drake was very insta-lovey which normally doesn't bother me, but their chemistry wasn't super convincing to me.
I still overall had a good time reading this book but it definitely won't stick with me, because I feel very apathetic about the book in general.
I read this as part of The Swoon Sisters Book Club that I participate in. You can find them on Instagram and Twitter. If it wasn't for this book club I probably wouldn't have read this book. This is a romantic suspense and overall I thought it was an ok read. The author did a great job of making the romance and suspense equal throughout the book. The suspense part wasn't really all that suspenseful. We knew who the bad guy was pretty much from the get go. Plus it was too political for me. I found myself not caring about suspense side of the story. I did think the romance was cute though. And honestly the romance is what made me continue reading the book.
