There’s only one way out
Belle Morte. One of five houses where vampires reside as celebrities and humans are paid to be their living donors. While others came here seeking fortune, I came in search of my sister who walked into Belle Morte five months ago . . . and never walked back out.
Now that I’m here, the secrets about this world have proven to be much bigger than I ever anticipated. And lurking around every corner are shocking insinuations of what happened to my sister.
There’s only one person who might have the answers I need, and the undeniable pull I feel toward him is Edmond Dantès—a vampire, and my mortal enemy.
The harder I try to resist him, the further I fall under his spell. And in one instant my life is irrevocably changed. My past becomes prologue and my fate becomes sealed behind these doors.
Belle Morte has spoken. And it may never let me go.

This is probably in the minority of harsh reviews even though this books reception is mixed. But I dnf around halfway. The plot felt very predictable and verging on silly, and I could not connect with the characters, which of course made the shifts feel rocky. Just not for me.
I recieven this book from Netgalley in return for my honest opinion.
I kinda liked the book, but it also felt too much like it was written by a Wattpad author. Yes, I am aware that this book is by Wattpad, but it really felt like some sort of fanfic is some way. The story was fun, the idea of some sort of house full of vampires and it gave me some sort of Love Island kinda idea. You know, a house full of celebs and everybody wants to watch/ join. Renie wasn't my favorite but she had her bits and pieces that I enjoyed. I did understand why she joined the house.
Over all the book was okay. It was just a bit too much Wattpad still for me. I don't really like those stories anymore.
I have mixed feelings about this book. On the one hand it's very predictable and generic. On the other hand, everything going on with June is very interesting. I enjoyed the end the most. It was enough to make me want to read the next one.
I received a copy from net galley.
