Susannah Nelson, the owner, has just hired an assistant named Colette Blake, a young widow who's obviously hiding a secret--or two. When Susannah and Colette both join Lydia Goetz's new knitting class, they discover that Lydia and her sister, Margaret, have worries of their own. Margaret's daughter, Julia, is the victim of a random carjacking, and the entire family is thrown into emotional chaos. Then there's Alix Townsend, whose wedding is only months away. She's not sure she can go through with it, though. A reception at the country club, with hundreds of guests she's never met--it's just not Alix. But, like everyone else in Lydia's knitting class, she knows there's a solution to every problem...and that another woman can usually help you find it!

If I hadn't read the other two Blossom Street books and a couple of her other books I might have liked this one more. But I'm tired of seeing the same women in the same plots with the same solutions.
I love this book and I think it is the best one I've ever read by Debbie Macomber. This book is full of so much it is so hard to explain in a short review and even harder to do without giving away too much. In a nutshell though, this book is about friends, not just any friends though, the friends that stick by you when things get rough and don't judge you when you are hard enough on yourself. It is also about being a friend for others. It is easy to get wrapped up in your problems and forget there are other people who care about you and want to help. It is also about sticking up for yourself when you need to, even when you have to stick up to friends and family who mean well but forget what they want is not always what is best for everyone. It is about fitting in where you feel like a lost puzzle piece in the wrong box, it is about forgiving when it seems impossible because anger destroys people from the inside out.
I'm sure there will be other reviews that tell you more about what happens in this book but I'll leave that to the others. I'll just say this book had my complete attention and I loved it. I'll be sure to share it with others.
