Assistant to the Villain

This was such a cute and fun read, and I think that if you're in the market for a cute palate cleanser this is a great option! The book is classified as fantasy, but it definitely isn't complex in terms of world building or magic systems. Assistant to the Villain follows Evie, the sole provider for her family who is in the market for a new job, and the Villain, a mysterious man who is in the market for a new assistant. I loved these characters! Their banter was funny and witty and their inner monologues added so much to them. There's tension and a potential romance brewing?
