Okay, this is more ridiculous than anything and sweet. I was expecting something dark especially since it is mafia. The thing is, I was really enjoying it and would have given this a 5 star until the relationship conflict at the end. This is where everything fell apart and I started looking back over everything and realizing I had more problems with the book.
It is very good for a debut, yes. I was so drawn to this book and enjoyed reading it– I can't remember how many times I laughed aloud. It is just the conflict was something I thought she had already knew about (since she had referenced it previously) and made peace with it. So, it felt out of place and I realized she wanted to change him, so... ugh. At the end it felt like there were a few other lines that were dropped or I feel like could have used more attention than what the book actually focused on.

Will I read more in this series? Probably not? If I'm reading a mafia book I want the dude to be bad, an anti-hero, not trying to redeemable.
