A Queer Retelling of Satan's Fall
In an eternal paradise, the most beautiful angel, Lucifer, struggles with shame, identity, and timidity, with little more than the desire to worship his creator.
It isn't until the strongest angel, Michael, comes into his life that Lucifer learns to love himself. Along the way, their friendship begins to bloom into something else. Maybe the first romance in the history of everything.
But this God is a jealous one, and maybe paradise is not paradise.

“This, this here, could be worship. ‘This -‘ Lucifer pressed an innocent kiss to the prince's sweet, divine mouth. This could be religion.”

Honestly really loved this book. I loved Lucifer and Michael's relationship, and the consequences thereof. I also loved the altered interpretation of how/why mankind came into existence.
Angel before man got me... it really did. A queer retelling of Satan's fall from Heaven... yea I'm interested. I'm there.
I now wish I wasn't there.
This book had a lot of needs.
The main need was that this book needed Love and Compassion from an editor. I say this as someone with the most basic level editing skills. There is POV switching that I thought was a glitch, and I was about to complain to Amazon until I read other readers reviews.
My next issue is that “fade to black” SA scene... HUH. Yes I heeded all the content warnings, so I knew it was coming. And yet I was very unprepared. If you've read my iPad shenanigans you know what's up.
Now one thing I appreciated about this book was the world building. I love a book where I can visualize the setting the MC is in. This author has way with descriptions that didn't feel excessive or overwhelming while reading and I appreciated that.
