An Unwanted Guest

On occasion I get huge cravings to read Thrillers, but I seem to be extremely picky with them. While many of my Goodreads friends seem to love this one, I almost DNF'd it many times. I just... the characters annoyed me to no end.
This sucks because I love the “the murderer is among us” concept. And I will say, that I didn't have a hard idea on who the murderer was, the ending was a surprise to me (gave my rating an extra .5 for it), which was nice.
For the most part though, I was bored reading it and didn't think there was much progression on whodunnit or anything. Not that I expect progression of the mystery to be solved in a thriller, but here everything just felt so slow... and then the ending wrap up was just a few pages.
So, not for me.
