unlikely friendships will get me every time. i liked this alot, especially the second half of the book, but i think it was too short for me to get invested enough into the story and the choppy chapters didn't help either

I'm not sure what's at fault here, but I didn't really feel the emotion that I probably should have. For some reason Polish publisher decided to translate from the English translation, which is already a crime in itself. Maybe that's the reason why I felt disconnected? I knew from the first page that it's twice removed from the original story and it made me lose that connection that should've been there.

Such a beautiful book.
