Alice's Adventures in Wonderland

Erm, is that sacrilegious? Sure, it was clever and cracked out and beautifully short. I'm just not that into literary psychedelia. Everyone is horrid in it, except for Alice's sister. Even Alice is a tad annoying. I liked the Cheshire Cat. But I like cats, so it hardly counts. But I'd never read it, and the KCMO library was giving copies away (adorable copies I might add) for the 150th anniversary of the book, so I was–of course–excited. I might never have bothered otherwise. I might try ‘Through the Looking Glass.' But I've just never been that into Alice.
