Holy Shit. Where do I start?

Finally, this series is over. (Technically there's still one more, but it doesn't continue this story, just adds some more depth to what we've already read.)

IMO, this was the best book in the series. Don't get me wrong, I loved each of the books in their own way but this one gets two thumbs up from me.

POTENTIAL SPOILERS AHEAD!

I loved and hated this series all at once. It kept me wanting more, while at the same time wishing that they would just get their shit together, stop fighting, and live happily ever after. There was SO MUCH DRAMA! Every good story has a little drama, but fuck enough is enough.

& That's why this one is my favorite. The first couple of chapters were absolutely heartbreaking. I felt for Tessa, because I myself had to go through a very similar situation where the scene with her dad was concerned. I was so happy that she stood her ground with Hardin throughout this book, she didn't let him run all over her like he usually does.

It took him YEARS to be able to make up for every shitty thing he has done to her since their relationship started. Which made me ecstatic, I was so worried that she would just forgive him like she always does and continue the vicious cycle. Fortunately, she realized that they couldn't work and decided to work on herself instead. Hardin followed suit and pretty much became a different person. (Thank god!)

This book was more about healing, and that's honestly what saved the series for me. (I still would have liked it, just not nearly as much as I do now.)

There were a couple of reasons why this didn't get 5 stars:

1. When they were apart for the two years at the end, I realllllly reallllly wish that they wouldn't have seen each other during that time. I think it would have made their reunion that much sweeter.

2. When he asked her what was the worst thing he has done to her, she said the bet....wait..WHAT?!

After everything that he did, the fucking bet was the worst? To me, everything that went down in London was worse than that bet, that shit hurt my heart and made me ugly cry.

3. Last but not least, I absolutely HATE when an author just barfs everything out at the end. It was a beautiful epilogue, but since her last book was larger than the fucking bible, she could have gave us a little more. Like, maybe tell us the story of Tessa going into labor; Tell us if they got married or not. If they did, tell us the story of their wedding day; Tell us about Hardin's first time holding his daughter; Just tell us more. I could have honestly done without the 10 years later part, it held no value for me.

But, I digress.
I was pleasantly happy with this book, my least favorite part being the ending. (Which was still really sweet.) I honestly am so glad that I read this series, it was long, it pissed me off, made me cry, the characters were downright stupid at times but all in all it was a great series.
