Act Your Age, Eve Brown

I love lipstick. It is one of the few makeup products I wear on a consistent basis. But I've never loved lip gloss - it's too sticky, it leaves stickiness all over your coffee mug, and lip prints on the faces of your loved ones when you kiss them goodbye. No thank you. And yes, I know that lipstick kind of does the same (leaving color on your mug, on others' mugs, etc.) but for some reason that never bothered me the way lip gloss did.

Eve loves lip gloss. She slicks on bright, glittery gloss several times during the book. Often to annoy the crap out of Jacob, who is not frivolous in the least.

And then the other day I went to Ulta to get shampoo and ... accidentally impulse bought some Fenty lip gloss in a purple-y color called Mauve Wive$.

And yeah, I kind of love it. It's real inconvenient with a mask, but so is lipstick. And it doesn't feel overly sticky. Is it just this brand? Have I been wrong for 20 years?
