A Very Large Expanse of Sea

I really, really, really enjoyed this book.

It is so different from Tahereh's other works, which just further illustrates how talented an author she is.

For me, this book was very interesting to read. It was in the viewpoint of a person very different from myself, which I think is important. After all, gaining new perspectives is always beneficial. It really opened my eyes to the sheer amount of racism that was present following the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

Of course, I loved the romance as well. She truly was able to blend a light-hearted romance with a much deeper concept of racism and self-discovery.

Overall, I was very impressed.
