This book shows the worst of human nature, and how wrong can get motivations and beliefs. The story is fast paced, but at the same time manages to show development in the characters.
Much like season 3 of You, I couldn't look away. A fun, quick read that highlights the slippery slope of trying to keep a secret, especially when 4 million dollars is involved. Slightly disappointed with how it ended, but I understand why it did end that way. Overall, a good read.
It gives Walter white vibes.
Just like in breaking bad the evil of what he does consistently getting worse just made me so mad and sad that I just couldn’t enjoy the book. I stress out reading stuff like this. But clearly it was well written to give me these emotions. Hence the 2 stars even though I hated reading it haha. The only character I liked was Jacob who in my eyes is the Jesse pinkman but I mainly felt pity for Jacob. So once again no good emotions. I like some variety.
