In this classic drawing room mystery, Chief Inspector Armand Gamache is looking forward to celebrating his wedding anniversary at the remote, luxurious Manoir Bellechasse. As Gamache's holiday becomes a busman's anniversary, he learns that the seemingly peaceful lodge is a place where visitors come to escape their past, until that past catches up with them.

Short Review: A Rule Against Murder: A Chief Inspector Gamache #4 by Louise Penny - Inspector Gamache and his wife go away to their favorite vacation spot for their 35th anniversary, murder follows them. This is my fourth Inspector Gamache book in as many weeks and they seem to be getting better. This one has moved away from Three Pines, and that is good. Given that only about a year has passed since book one, the murder rate in Three Pines must be approaching the highest in Canada. Again, this was more about Gamache than anyone else, except maybe Peter Marrow, and Gamache is who I really want as the central character, so I am happy. Already started book 5
