I definitely got sucked into the very creepy world, and I appreciated the atmosphere Fraistat built throughout the novel. I also am very appreciative that she wrote a character with Bipolar III based on her own mental health experiences, and those parts rang particularly authentic and meaningful. That being said, I think it was a little too long and a little repetitive. Pick this one up if you like stories where the character is up against seemingly impossible odds, includes evil spirits, and only if you can handle body horror (because sheeeeeesh there were some very icky moments). High stakes, terrifying setting, and lots of bugs.
