A Man Called Ove

This might be controversial but in all honesty I was very underwhelmed by this book.

After hearing such high praise for it I expected to love it but whilst I found Ove and his curmudgeonly ways amusing at times, I also found at other times he grated on me and his attitude was unlikeable. There's a point where it goes past being funny to just being a bit crass.

I found the story a bit meandering once the opening chapters were done but liked the ending which was heart warming and much more enjoyable.

Also don't hate on cats - they're gorgeous, smart and affectionate creatures! It sounds like the author either didn't like cats or had never really been around them to get to know them. That's totally my assumption from the way this was written but cat lovers will understand!
