A killing in the hills

The star of this book is the setting. I came to feel like I really belonged in the Appalachians as I read this (you should know I am a sucker for mountains). Plot-wise, it's a pretty run-of-the-mill murder mystery/lawyer story. The characters and the setting really make it shine, though. If you like crime fiction, this is a good one.
