yeah this is a good book but you absolutely cannot ignore the racist undertones that are there throughout and the fact that basically every white character was 100% willing to throw the innocent white boy under the bus to protect all the awful things they did like murder, rape, kidnap, drug dealing and paralysing random people. just absolutely awful what they did to sal.
