Stopped caring at 200 pages. I love slow-burn fantasies, but this one wasn't for me.
thief; fae; royalty05/02/2022: okay, i was NOT expecting the paranormal twist halfway through the story LMAO i still laugh when i remember itbut still - i loved the book. plot was kinda (er, mostly?) predictable bc of the tropes, but it was still fun to read. i loved how the story related relevant events, and just jump-cut where appropriate, instead of trying to add filler text/scenes that do nothing for the plot (Ex. “so i was locked up for a week before anything happened” instead of “day 1/7 i did nothing. day 2/7 i did more of the same. day 3/7 ....” - catch my drift?)i think there were 2x that i was shocked - the first was the paranormal plot twist, the second was the ending. thinking on it now - i literally just read a book where that plot twist was the same hey.... lookin' atchu OUABHcan't wait for book 2 hehe ———————————————————————-hey, I liked it ☆☆☆☆bonus star for that plot twist of sorts Merged review:thief; fae; royalty
