Oh what a fun story! I really enjoyed this one – it's a Victorian mystery novel, which anything set in that era is up my alley. The main character, Veronica Speedwell is a lepidopterist – someone who studies butterflies! She's highly entertaining, always has some quip or quick little comment. She's not an idle, quiet sort of woman and that makes her absolutely fantastic as a main character. The whole story sits around a murder, and who Veronica really is. The reveal is good, but you can kinda guess where it's going a little halfway through the novel. That doesn't make it NOT a fun read, however! It's still super enjoyable, and I'd highly recommend it to anyone who likes novels set in the Victorian era.

BTW – the second main character, Stoker, is my FAVORITE. He's a big gruff sort of a man with a huge cuddly heart. Totally my favorite sort of character.
