5 Pennies to Spend

This was one of the very first books I remember reading as a child. I think I loved the pictures as much as the story. I read it so much, I literally wore off the front cover. My father re-covered it with cardboard, and I drew my own illustration on the front.
I don't know what happened to that original book, however I recently purchased a copy. I still love the story AND pictures.
