Perhaps best known as the progenitor of the expansive (though perennially underground) Faction Paradox franchise of science fiction novels, audio dramas, and short story anthologies – originally a spinoff of a Doctor Who novel of his – Lawrence Miles made his debut as a now well-remembered, much-loved, and somewhat controversial writer for Virgin Books’s and BBC Books’s lines of Doctor Who novels in the 1990s.
