Jonahmae Pacala is the author of the best-selling books, Heartless, Worthless, Mapapansin Kaya, the Baka Sakali Trilogy, End This War, Every Beast Needs a Beauty, Training to Love, Why Do You Hate Me?, Chase and Hearts, Against the Heart, Hold Me Close, Getting To You, No Perfect Prince, and Downfall Chronicles. In 2015, she won the Filipino Readers' Choice award for Heartless.

She discovered her flair for writing at the early age of 10. She was never fond of reading long novels during her elementary years, but she found a deep connection to sad, short stories. What was once a hobby that involved paper, pen, and daydreams later turned into a passion for writing online.

She started writing online at the age of 12 in the Creative Corner of candymag.com's Teentalk,and then she moved to Wattpad in November 2012. In 2020, she launched her own app, Jonaxx Stories, where she shares her stories online. (The Jonaxx Stories App is available for download on the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.)

She used to write teen fiction, but she later shifted to writing new adult fiction. Today, she has over 5.4 million followers on Wattpad.

Jonah earned her degree in Education in 2011. She currently resides in Cagayan de Oro City.

Other than writing, Jonaxx loves walks on the beach, the summer breeze, city lights, movie dates, coffee and tea, romance, dolls, teddy bears, and rainbow-colored unicorns.
