Author Bio

Christelle Dabos is a French fantasy author best known for her bestselling young adult series La Passe-miroir (The Mirror Visitor Quartet). Born in 1980 on the Côte d’Azur, she grew up in a family of musicians and initially studied library science before turning to writing. She began writing seriously after joining the online writers’ community Plume d’Argent. In 2007, she was diagnosed with cancer, which became a turning point that encouraged her to pursue her passion for storytelling. Her debut novel, A Winter’s Promise (Les Fiancés de l’hiver), won the Gallimard Jeunesse, RTL, and Télérama First Novel Competition in 2013, launching her literary career. The Mirror Visitor Quartet has since been translated into multiple languages and has gained international acclaim for its imaginative world-building and complex characters. Dabos currently lives in Belgium, where she continues to write and publish new works.
