i was determined to finish this series bc i'd gotten so far... but it rly felt like this dragged on. but yay! it's done! i like where everyone ended up but the journey was a little taxing. b4 u ask YES i will listen to fire night to office finish out the series
i loved the movie but norah was so unbearable in this book :โโโ( she was so pretentious about music it bugged me so much. also nick was just a little pathetic (i'm sorry)
23 january 2020excited to start reading this soon - especially since the blurb reminds me of [b:Only Ever Yours 21805717 Only Ever Yours Louise O'Neill https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1441273940l/21805717.SY75.jpg 41068635]. hoping this is a better version of that bc it had so much potential!!!!
book #4 of reading rush!!!
pretty hard to read for me bc i'm really not used to reading classics so the language was a bit of a challenge (thanks cliffnotes). great story, really enjoyed it!
found this one to be a little boring compared to corrupt, but better than hideaway. it was nice to finally see a more human side of damon, and see the explanations for his actions. buttt the rika x michael storyline has to be my favorite so far
โBree's powers are unpredictable and dangerous, and she can't escape her growing attraction to Selwyn.โ
I AM NOT READY FOR THIS LOVE TRIANGLE
3.5! super fast, engaging read, but nothing special. reads kinda like a colleen hoover book? the newer tjr books are definitely better.
my first liane moriarty novel and i really enjoyed it! the story & reveals were well-paced and all the characters were pretty vivid. also loved reading a more mature character's pov hehe i loved being in the head of a sweet old lady.
3.25
a really important read but pacing and format was kinda meh. i still think this book could be very impactful on young adults that may not have prior knowledge about domestic abuse, eating disorders, and mental health issues. not necessarily enjoyable, but definitely informative.
sooo good, so spicy, so tropey, i loved nesta's character development & so many other things.
i really REALLY wanted to like this bc i rly believe in supporting indonesian authors but.... after three weeks of trying to read this and getting back to it here and there i..... am giving up.
i just think this isn't the type of book i like! i've seen a lot of reviewers comparing chudori's writing to murakami and honestly, i see it. that being said, i also tried to read a murakami book recently and didn't enjoy his style of writing so..... yeah lol. i'm not saying it's bad, more like it isn't my cup of tea.
that being said my favorite story in the book had to be the dollhouse :)
4.25!
ngl this book is pretty overhyped in my opinion, but enjoyable nonetheless! can't wait for the next book :))
you know a book is good when you get emotional everything you think about it.
book lovers might've been my favorite read of the year so far. the romance was great - a rivals to lovers trope that in my opinion was paced perfectly with great banter and lots of depth.
but what really got me was the grief of losing a loved one and sacrificing a lot to care for a younger sibling. this plotline parallels some aspects of my life currently and i couldn't help but tear up at the intimate sister moments. ALSO the fact that libby calls nora โsissy,โ which is what my younger sis and i call each other
